The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a Plug-In Hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powered by a 2.0L DOHC DI Turbo I4 engine capable of 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. With daily commuting and city driving, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe can run on electric power up to an EPA-estimated 21 miles on a full charge. The default Hybrid Mode combines power from the PHEV powertrain and Turbo I4 engine to provide instant torque and maximum power as you accelerate. The eSave Mode will first use energy from the gas engine to save the PHEV battery for later use. In addition, regenerative braking is an included feature in the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, allowing the battery to be charged while decelerating and braking.

While a significant advantage of the 4xe is the efficiency and tax credit, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is no less capable than any other Jeep Wrangler. Being the industry's first PHEV with a front and rear locking differential, the Wrangler 4xe is ready to take on all terrains. With an estimated 370 miles of total driving range, you'll have plenty of range to get you where you need to go, and the battery pack is sealed and waterproofed, meaning you can pass through water up to 31.5 inches deep.
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is available in four different trim levels:
The Advantages of a Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle
PHEV technology combines a traditional gas engine with an electric motor for additional power and efficiency. With this technology, you can forget about range anxiety while appreciating savings at the pump. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe includes a 17.3 kWh battery that can be fully charged in two hours with a Level II battery charger or 12 hours using a 120V Level I charger. You can adjust the electric output to various driving conditions by changing the drive mode. With electric and gasoline power in your vehicle, you really get the best of both worlds.
The Tax Savings You Can Qualify For
In addition to fuel savings, the Jeep 4xe currently qualifies you for a federal income tax credit of up to $3,750 and may be eligible for additional state and local incentives. For example, the Kansas City, Missouri area has a rebate program, which provides an additional $500 rebate towards the cost of a 240-volt level-2 in-home charger. With all of these available incentives, purchasing a Jeep 4xe could save you even more money in the long run.
